In Hinduism, Om (also spelled Aum) is a Hindu sacred sound that is considered the greatest of all mantras. The syllable Om is composed of the three sounds a-u-m (in Sanskrit, the vowels a and u combine to become o) and the symbol's threefold nature is central to its meaning.

The three worlds - earth, atmosphere, and heaven
The three major Hindu gods - Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva
The three sacred Vedic scriptures - Rig, Yajur, and Sama

The continued recitation of OM (called Udgita Pranayama) fills one with peace, calmness, tranquility and serenity. When we recite it with the understanding that OM is nothing but a representation of Ishvara, it brings us closer to our true nature, our own pure self. As mentioned above, OM is the primordial sound and this entire creation is a manifestation of this mystic sound. It represents the cosmic prana (the vital energy) and the air we breathe. Meditating on these thoughts can bring us closer to other human beings and lift the veil of separateness.

The three letters of OM thus correspond to the three gunas as follows:
A = tamas (darkness, inertia, ignorance)
U = rajas (passion, activity, dynamism)
M = Sattva (purity, truth, light)

Om is a sound and symbol, rich in meaning and depth
Om represents the sound of divinity in all things in the past, present and future.

In any religion, no matter what the name, no matter the country or the tradition, the primary concern of that religion is Om, the God energy, even if that religion does not use that word. This is most easily discernible in a quiet environment. It sounds like “OMMMMMMMMMMMMM” and can be a quite remarkable and blissful realization when it happens. Of course, one needs to have the mind quiet also.

Om is time itself— past, present and the future. It is also that which exists beyond time. Om is not just a sound or vibration. It is not just a symbol. It is the entire cosmos, whatever we can see, touch, hear and feel.
Aum begins with the sound of silence.  The A sound begins deep below the throat, in the belly.  The U sound is made by the reverberations within the belly. And finally the M sound is produced from the nasal noise.  Aum closes with a sound of silence.

Design: Made in heavy shining brass with gold and black color antic finin.
Brass is well known for its grasping capacity. It grasps the divine spirit upto 30%, when compared to other metals.  The spiritual vibrations are attracted towards these shining idols easily.

Importance of Idol worship: Idols are not the idle fancies of sculptors, but shining channels through which the heart of the devotee is attracted to and flows towards God. Though the image is worshipped, the devotee feels the presence of the Lord in it and pours out his devotion unto it.Regular worship, Puja and other modes of demonstrating our inner feeling of recognition of Divinity in the idol unveils the Divinity latent in it.This is truly a wonder and a miracle. The picture comes to life. The idol speaks. It will answer your questions and solve your problems. The God in you has the power to awaken the latent Divinity in the idol. The lives of Mirabai, Sant Tukaram, Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Shri Yogananda are a few instances to prove the point. They proved beyond doubt that idol worship has its own brighter side and through simple faith and intense devotion one can realize God through it.

Idols are the "finite representation of the Infinite".As per Vishnu Samhita (ch 29, v 55-7), persuasively endorses the use of imagery (idols) and puts it:"Without a form how can God be mediated upon? If (He is) without any form, where will the mind fix itself? When there is nothing for the mind to attach itself to,it will slip away from meditation or will glide into a state of slumber. Therefore the wise will meditate on some form, remembering, however, that the form is a superimposition and not a reality."
